RecoVR: Mosul is a virtual reality journalism piece by The Economist Media Lab, cooperated with Project Mosul (Rekrei), founded by archeologists Matthew Vincent and Chance Coughenour. This allowing us to visit the Mosul Museum, which was occupied and destructed by Islamic state of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Apart from bringing the historical collection back to life, it also sheds a light on ISIL’s war on cultural heritage.
